@topshelfvintageco

Annie Schisler, the original founder of Top Shelf vintage co., with help of her partner, opened up a store front in the city of Pawtucket. Coming from a family of business owners Annie’s “silly lil vintage shop” (her own words) has blown tf
up. With 34.8 thousand followers on Instagram, Annie continues to bring in new clothes to the store. Taking it one week at a time with her store, we can can definitely see that she is a community girl just trying to make it big.

Looking for a local business to shop it isn’t always easy, but starting one is even harder. Here we look at some of the most favorite clothing brands from the city. Having a popular local brand allows people to have an identity, to stand out and, more importantly, claim a sense of uniqueness all their own.

World Dreams

@worlddreams401

Money motivated Terence Vasell, started up World Dreams in order to attain wealth for his family, and essentially all those who are less fortunate. World Dreams is a personal favorite of mine as they brand their style of clothing as a “Lifestyle brand”. Despite COVID-19, Terence and his World Dreams team are still working on new and exciting pieces for his shoppers. Feeling discouraged at first because of school, he manages to shine through with his creativity and is able to design amazing clothes for everyone to wear.

VAID Clothing

@vaidclothing

Partnership Corey and Zy use their clothing brand in a way to express what they can’t put into words. VAID stands for ‘Valuable Art Isn’t Dead’, and definitely brings back the expressive outerwear. From just doodling in sketch books to selling out in minutes, VAID Clothing is definitely a huge streetwear favorite in Providence.

Crochet by MAB
CrochetbyMAB.com
@crochetbymab

Crochet by MAB is a startup by Miriam Beato, who makes all of the clothing pieces by hand. Miriam, AKA boss lady, started off just crocheting pieces for fun, for herself and her friends. Over time she’s noticed that her pieces have gotten super popular and decided to start up a business. Despite the high demand on her hand made pieces, Miriam believes that the best way to support her business is by feedback. Knowing that her pieces are putting smiles on her clients faces is what makes her happy!

Trendy Hill

Genesis Orellana, owner, created Trendy Hills for all genders to make people feel good in their clothes. Although COVID-19 has stopped a few people from shopping for clothes online, it hasn’t stopped Genesis from working on an update for her website and adding some new photos for their instagram page. From clothes for the club on a friday night, to some comfy pants for a lazy day, there is definitely a piece for everyone at Trendy Hills.
